Obesity is not just a concern of a morbidly obese person. The problems
affect society as a whole since obesity contributes to the incidence of
chronic disease. According
to the Surgeon General, obesity, with it's rank among the top ten diseases,
may be America's number one contributor to health care costs.
Our center is dedicated to making your surgery experience as relaxed
and uneventful as possible. We are located in Mexicali, Baja California,
border with Calexico, California (in the area of Imperial Valley). Click

for you and my public relations staff will be in touch with you all the
time.
Upon an early arrival to our city, the procedure can usually be performed
the same day. Most patients are up around that afternoon or early the
following morning. After 48 hours the patient is discharged after a contrast
x-ray study to verify the position of the Lap-Band implant.
Feel free to have the tests made back at your city but the cost of the
procedure includes all preoperative evaluations:
- a complete blood chemistry test (including thyroid function test)
- chest x-ray
- EKG (electrocardiogram)
- nutritional evaluation
- anesthesiologist evaluation
- cardiology evaluation (if indicated)
Also included in our fee are:
- the four Doctors (surgery team) fees
- operating room privileges
- anesthesiologist
- the Lap Band implant
- 48 hour hospital stay
- fills for life (x-ray room extra)
- transportation to and from the airport
If you are within driving distance, our coordinator will meet you
at Calexico, Ca. and direct you to Almater Hospital for your tests and
surgery.
If you don't live within a driving distance, the nearest flight is to
the airport in El Centro, CA , located 25 minutes from Mexicali. You may
also fly to the San Diego Airport, which is 2 hours away.
